Ikshvaku :

According to mythological tradition, Ikshvaku was the son of Vaivasvata Manu, the son of Vivasvan (Surya).  The legend tells Ikshvaku to originate from Manu's sneeze by the amethuni creation.  They are considered to be the first among the Suryavanshi kings.  Their capital was Kosal (Ayodhya).  His 100 sons are said to have had the firstborn Vikukshi.  A second son of Ikshvaku founded Mithila Rajkula.  Generally, the polytheistic Ikshvakus refer to the Suryavanshi kings born of Ikshvaku, but in ancient literature it also implies an Ikshvaku caste.  The name Ikshvaku, once only, is also used in the Rigveda, which Maxmüller considered not to be a king but a caste noun.  The caste of Ikshvakus was probably settled in the valley of North Bhagirathi in the district.  He was also associated with some scholars in the districts of North-West.  All types of pure unclean lineages of Suryavansh are prevalent in many princes of the country.  Regardless of the differences in the names or places of individual kings, their origin is Ikshvaku.  It is not strange that he has been a historical person in the Far East.

Raghuvanshi: - Raghuvanshi (Ikshvaku) dynasty (from 1000 BC to 364 BC) is the ancient Kshatriya clan of India.  Which is considered the best Kshatriyak among all the Kshatriya clans of India.  Historically, Raghukul has been a symbol of dignity, truth, character, commitment, sacrifice, tenacity, warmth and valor.  Suryavanshi Emperor Raghu of Ayodhya laid the foundation of this dynasty.  Raghuvanshi means descendants of Raghu.  That is, the descendants of Emperor Raghu are called Raghuvanshi.  Till the Buddhist period, Raghuvanshis were called Ikshvaku, Raghuvanshi and Suryavanshi Kshatriyas.  Originally, this dynasty started from Vaivasvata Manu, son of Lord Surya.  Which is known as Suryavansh, Ikshvaku Dynasty, Kakutastha Dynasty and Raghuvansh.  In ancient times, Brahma Ji made Vaivaswat Manu, the son of Lord Surya, the first king of the earth.  Because of being the son of Lord Surya, Manuji is called Suryavanshi and this dynasty which came from him is called Suryavansh.  In the Suryavansh of Ayodhya, the majestic king Raghu followed.  This dynasty from King Raghu is called Raghuvansh.  In this dynasty, there have been majestic kings like Ikshvaku, Kakutastha, Harishchandra, Mandhata, Sagara, Bhagiratha, Ambarish, Dilip, Raghu, Dasaratha, Rama.  Kavarnan is given in Raghuvansha kavya by some kings of Raghuvanshis.

The history of India dates back to 700 BC authentically and consistently.  Details of this time would be found in the Ashtadhyayi Sutras, Angutara bodies, Bhagwati Sutras etc.  In 700 BC, India was divided into districts, at this time there were 14 Mahajanapadas in India and many small districts under them.  Avanti, Magadha, Vatsa and Kaushal Mahajanapada were prominent among them.  Kaushal district was ruled by Ikshvaku vanshi Raghuvanshi King Rahul (Mahakaushala).  King Rahul Mahakaushala had established a vast empire by conquering the states of Kashi, Lumbni, Kapilvastu, Kauliya etc.  Kaushal was the state capital Saket (Ayodhya).  Saket (Ayodhya), Shravasti and Varanasi Kaushal were the major cities of the state.  The cities of Saket (Ayodhya) and Shravasti were surrounded by wide walls on all sides, there were big doors in all the directions.  The doors were very big, wide and high.  Which had beautiful carvings.  There were wide roads in the cities.  When Raghuvanshi Kshatriyas used to ride on these paths on elephant horses, Raghuvanshi used to see the glory of Kshatriyas.  The narrative of the splendor of the Kaushal State is found in the literature of this time, it tells the story of the rise of the Ikshvaku vanshi Raghuvanshi Kshatriyas.  Which is enough to tell that Raghuvanshi Kshatriya has ruled the Kaushal district long back.  After Mahakaushala, Prasenjit was the king of Khushudek, Ranak, Surath, Soumitra Kaushal (Ayodhya).  Soumitra was the last Raghuvanshi king of Kaushal (Ayodhya).  Mahadadamananda, the ruler of Magadha (Nandavansh), defeated Soumitra and ended the Raghuvanshi kingdom. Kingdom is actually ended but their clan is still present .
