Types Of Computer:

Computers are one of the wonders of modern technology, computers have become very important in today's world.  Today I will tell you how many types of computers are there and I will try to describe them in simple words.   we are well known that computer is an electronic machine.  The one who receives the data, processes the data according to the instructions, stores the data and gives us the desired output.  The types of computers are based on their use, speed and size.  I will answer all these questions in very easy words.

How many types of computers are there?

The computer is one of the bright creations of mankind.  Computers can do a lot of tasks at one time. Some computers are so powerful that hundreds or thousands of users can only use them at one time.  The types of computers have different capacities and different sizes.  The classification of a computer is based on the use, speed, and size of the computer.

Application based computer :

Analog computers:

Analog computers are computers that use physical quantities such as temperature, pressure, speed, voltage, resistance, etc., rather than calculating them.  They are used in the fields of research and engineering.

Digital computers:

Digital computers are computers that use all the functions as digit, which is called binary number system.  It works on 0 and 1, we use digital computers in various applications like education, banking, business, entertainment etc. and nowadays it is quite famous.

Hybrid Computer:

Hybrid computers are computers that have the characteristics of both hybrid and digital computers.  For example, the use of a hybrid computer is more common in medicine, such as instead of using an analog instrument to measure a patient's blood pressure, heart rate, etc., we first convert analog data into digital data using a hybrid computer.  The result is then displayed on the screen in digital form.

Purpose Based Computer

Microcomputer:

A microcomputer also known as a personal computer is a digital computer that works on a microprocessor.  Microcomputers are personal computers designed for the individual user that perform tasks such as word processing, desktop publishing, and accounting.  Microcomputers are widely used for entertainment purposes as well as for playing games, listening to music, using Internet browsing, and watching movies.  (Small Size) are low cost and portable.

Mini Computer:

A mini computer is a mid-size multiprocessing and multi-user computer.  Multiprocessing is the way of running multiple programs or processes it at a given time.  A mini computer is a middle-class computer.  It is also known as a mid-range server (server) is a class computer between the microcomputers and the mainframe.  It is used for business, maintenance of accounts and financial data and applications in organizations.  Minicomputers are more powerful and are compatible with microcomputers.

Mainframe Computer:

Mainframe computers are huge computers that are so large that they cover the entire room or floor.  Mainframes are used in large companies as centralized service delivery.  They are designed to serve centralized computing.  With the development in the field of computing, the size of the mainframe has reduced and the processing capacity has increased.  They now serve distributed users and small servers in computing networks. They are also known as enterprise servers. Mainframes are very large and expensive computers.  Thousands of people can use mainframes at a time. It can process millions of transactions every day. Mainframes are widely used worldwide in large companies. Mainframes are widely used in government organizations IBM system z10 mainframes  An example is a computer.

Supercomputers:

Supercomputers are computers that are very fast and large in size.  They are used in government or large organizations for meteorological information, satellites, space travel, military and scientific research.  These include more than one C.P.U.  , Which makes them the fastest and most capable computers.  These supercomputers are the most expensive and very large in size.  India's first supercomputer is the Param 8000 (PARAM 8000), designed and developed for the development of advanced computing on 1 July 1991, the supercomputer was created by C-DAC.  Click for more information.
